Nashville,Tennessee – What happens when some of the biggest names in hunting joinforces with some of the biggest names in country music? Country GoesHuntin’™!

The Second Annual Country Goes Huntin’™ was held thispast weekend, and it featured special guests Rhett Akins, Chad Brock,and Daryle Singletary, who pulled up to the benefit in theirone-of-a-kind camouflaged tour bus. Akins, Brock and Singletary joinedforces with sponsors Spectrum Outdoors, Realtree, Kimlor Mills, TheNational Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Turkey Call Magazine, LacrosseFootwear and Hunters Specialties, to host the second annual COUNTRYGOES HUNTIN’™ concert and hunting benefit!

OnSaturday, March 20, 2004 combined efforts and the love of outdoorrecreation united to raise funds for the Wheelin’ Sportsmen Program, adivision of the NWTF that re-introduces disabled individuals to theoutdoor sports of hunting, fishing, bird watching, and many moreactivities. The Wheelin’ Sportsmen Program helps buy equipment andassist men, women, and children while hunting. Spectrum Outdoorsspokesman Sam Klement was pleased with the excellent turnout for thisyear’s event, “We had a great weekend planned thanks to all thedistinguished guests and organizations that donated their time, love ofthe sport, and energy towards this particular benefit. However, themost rewarding aspect of the weekend was the opportunity to help agreat cause on a national level and really bring awareness towards theorganization, Wheelin’ Sportsmen.”

The weekend consisted of twodays of hunting in Blakely, Georgia March 20-21, and a fundraiser onMonday, March 22, 2004 in Dothan, Alabama. The fundraiser was held atWestgate Park Complex in Dothan, Alabama. There was a $10 donationrequest to attend the benefit, but many sponsors had alreadycontributed to the foundation. Local restaurants and RealtreeCamouflage also joined to give back to those who attended this year’sevent. In addition, Matt Morrett, the five time world turkey callingchampion, Michael Waddell, the host of Realtree Road Trip, Jeff Banks,the author and renowned whitetail expert, and bow hunting legend, TimKnight, also joined in on the fun. “This event really encouragedeveryone to come out and raise awareness for this cause. To entice thecommunity to come together, we came up with a great package,” Klementstated earlier today. Attendees received a free drink, meal, pictureswith the Country Goes Huntin’™ celebrities, and an autographed Realt!ree hat.

In addition, guests enjoyed an acoustic concert at7:00 PM on Monday, March 22! Three of the four members of the HonkyTonk Tailgate Party, Rhett Akins, Chad Brock, and Daryle Singletary,showed off their newly covered Realtree Camouflaged bus! Good friendsKimlor Mills out of Orangeburg, SC provided the bedding for thisone-of-a-kind tour bus.

Following the concert, a check for$3000 was presented to the Wheelin’ Sportsmen organization during alive remote on WTVY 95.5 to remind all to get in the hunt with SpectrumOutdoors!
